About a year and a half ago, after being rejected for a long-form editor position on Iman Gadzhi’s team, I joined as a short-form editor.
Then, I put myself in uncomfortable situations to grow as much as possible, figuring out my style by doing things I didn’t know how to do.
My motto? Every video must be better than the last, always striving to add something new each time.
I’m proud to say that I’ve accomplished that goal and eventually became his Lead long-form editor, simultaneously creating a famous editing style that people haven’t seen before.
I didn’t post about it, promote it, or even explain it.
Yet there were dozens of videos of people online breaking down my editing style or even trying to replicate it and repackage it as their own product.
In the next 15 months, I’ve accelerated Iman’s level of editing and the success of his channel 5-10 times…
- We had a channel go from 1.8m to 4.5m subscribers / in 15 months
- We had a video surpass 3.7m views in just 3 days of posting it
- We had over 19 videos surpass the 1 million mark, and 4 of those skyrocketed beyond 5 million views
- We had over $30 million generated through our organic content in just one month.
- We had over 78,000 live viewers tuned in for the first episode of our famous events
- We had Iman’s editing team of 7 trained to master my unique video editing style.

Now, I don’t want to focus on teaching people to be Netflix quality video editors, content producers, or any type of X and Y.
Plenty of people do that and the other reason I don’t is that “video styles” come and go.
Instead, what I focus on is teaching them how to think.
So they can see things others can’t see, connect the dots, and build their own style.
Once they can do that, they can imagine, pull apart, build and rebuild videos from scratch in any style & video format.
As a result, they each have a unique skill set that can’t be copied and that also stands the test of time.
It’s all about becoming a full-stack editor in the truest sense of the word.
I’m not only a mentor, trainer, and teacher, I’m also a hands-on advisor & consultant in everything they’re doing.
It’s almost as if I partner with them working on their videos. That’s the level of involvement from myself.
